Press release of A News Show with host Jessica Alaniz

"A NEWS SHOW" BRINGS SHARP, INDEPENDENT SATIRE TO THE SCREEN

Created by longtime comedian Chris Mata, A News Show is a fast-paced, independently produced comedy news series that blends the wit of Weekend Update, the depth of Last Week Tonight, and the bite of The Daily Show. Based in Los Angeles and filmed on a self-funded set, the show features headline-driven satire, punchy monologues, and sharp cultural commentary delivered by host Jessica Alaniz, a rising Latina comic with fearless stage presence and incisive timing.

A News Show is entirely creator-owned and operated, offering a rare mix of professional polish and artistic freedom. The show speaks directly to millennial and Gen Z audiences hungry for truth, humor, and representation in political satire.
